Looking at Content Creation from Different Angles

If you’re new to Bliss Lane, we have two main focuses in our business: Virtual Assistance (VA) and Social Media Management (and on the down low, a new offering soon!) Today, we are diving into content creation, a service that’s becoming increasingly essential for businesses of all sizes.

Content creation has become a buzzword, often associated with influencers who make a full-time income by doing try-on hauls, vlogs, or sharing activities in their local town. However, content creation isn't just for influencers—it’s a powerful tool for businesses too.

As a business owner, you might already be creating content without even realizing it. Whether it’s photos for your Instagram, behind-the-scenes videos, or client-focused materials like aftercare instructions following knee surgery, what the procedure is after a spray tan, or the remodel of a house – all of this falls under the umbrella of content creation!

How We Create Content for Our Clients

One of the most common ways we create content for our clients is by discussing their business goals and generating content for social media that reflects those goals. For example, if a client has a YouTube video, we can repurpose it into content for other platforms, helping to drive more traffic back to their YouTube channel.

The type of content will vary depending on the client’s needs. For one client, we may create three Instagram posts and a set of Pinterest graphics based on a single YouTube video. In my last blog post, I also talked about another service we offer, blog post writing, which can fall under content creation as well, and something we use to create even more content. This is a popular service for our clients when repurposing their long form content.

A crucial thing to do is to change the way you look at content creation and repurposing content. For example, one blog post can be turned into multiple social media posts, various reels, or posts on different platforms such as YouTube Shorts or Pinterest Pins.

But what I mean when I say changing the way you look at it, I mean taking one topic and looking at it from different angles, not just different platforms. For example a simple can be looked with different viewpoints such as:

  • Hot Takes

  • Myths

  • Limiting beliefs

  • Opinions

  • Mistakes you’re making

  • Inspirational posts

  • and more!

If you’re a physical therapist looking to create content, you could take a look at the above examples and have various ideas from one piece of content such as, “Hot takes you’ve heard about physical therapy,” “You’ve heard physical therapy is painful, let me tell you why that’s a myth!” or “Is playing with your grandkids on the floor something you’re wishing you could do? Let me tell you about a recent success story where physical therapy helped Paul do just that!”

Yes, content creation is a buzzword, and yes, it’s important. But what content creation looks like can differ greatly from business to business. Many people assume it only involves hiring someone to fully manage their social media, but that’s not always the case. Content creation is flexible and can be tailored specifically to your business needs.

Let’s work together to figure out what content creation looks like for your business. Reach out today to start the conversation!
